In case you haven’t been reading this blog lately, or keeping up with us on Facebook, Twitter, or Google+, your West Seattle dentist, Dr. Kirchner is going to have a baby next month! So what does that mean exactly for her office while she is gone? Well, as you may have guessed, life will go on as close to normal as possible! We are pleased to introduce the dentist that will be working in Dr. Kirchner’s stead while she is on maternity leave: Dr. Esi A. Quaidoo, DDS. She is a local dentist that has had over 20 years of experience and we are pleased to be working with her! The following is an excerpt from her website about Dr. Quaidoo:
Dr Quaidoo was born in Ghana, West Africa, and immigrated to Canada in 1982 where she pursued a major in Biology and Chemistry. In 1989, she obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Washington School of Dentistry in Seattle, Washington and has resided in the State of Washington ever since. She is married with two wonderful teenage children, Benjamin and Sarah.
Dr. Quaidoo enjoys reading Metaphysical and Philosophical Books when she is not practicing dentistry, as well as linguistics, classical piano, music, traveling public speaking (including Smile Talk Radio) and writing. She has authored a number of articles and a couple of books and her literary works include “Exquisite Smile, your radiance from within” and “Stress Management and the Smile Factor”. She is fluent in a number of African Dialects.
‘Dr Q’ as she is popularly called, has a quiet yet powerfully amicable disposition and loves to connect with people. She derives great joy empowering her patients and clients, and drawing out their best attributes. She is of the firm belief that life is about choices and choosing a positive outlook on life is fundamental to a fulfilling existence. She strives at excellence at every opportunity as evidenced by numerous awards and honors throughout her academic career.
In 2007, Dr. Q was honored to be national spokesperson for Trident Gum’s and ‘Save the Children’s “Pass along a Smile Summer Campaign’ which was an effort to increase awareness about Oral health and the importance of the Smile.
Dr. Q loves to help. She is the founder and executive director of the Aquarian Centers for Smile and Life Mastery (ACSLM), a Washington nonprofit organized to restore smiles and transform lives in under served areas, locally and abroad.
So, while Dr. Kirchner will not be in the office starting September 4, all of our patients will be in the more than capable care of Dr. Quaidoo until Dr. Kirchner returns November 18th. Please don’t hesitate to call the office and schedule an appointment to meet Dr. Quaidoo!
And just for some FYI housekeeping, the office will be closed September 6-22. It will reopen Monday, September 23rd, 2013.
We are excited for Dr. Kirchner and her family to welcome their new little boy and are delighted that we will be working with Dr. Quaidoo!
