Meet Parris!

west seattle dental assistantIts that time again!  Time to meet and learn more about one of the staff at your West Seattle dentist, Dr. Christine Kirchner’s office!  This time around we talked to one of Dr. Kirchner’s assistants, Parris!

So Parris, where did you grow up?

I was born and raised right here in Seattle!

A Seattlite just like Dr. Kirchner!  So did you always want to work in the dental field when you grew up too?

No, when I was younger, I wanted to be a cartoonist.

So what steered you to the dental field?

Besides the fact that I have always enjoyed going to the dentist, dentistry is in my family history.  Plus the hours are great!

That’s great!  Since we are trying to get to know you better, what three adjectives would you use to describe yourself?

Dependable, honest, and easy-going

What are two things you consider yourself to be very good at?

Showing up and not taking things personal

How many pairs of shoes do you have?

Wait, what?

I know, its a silly question, but it must be asked!

Hmm.  I think I have around 35!

If you had a theme song, what would it be?

Ok, I really don’t like this song, but I’m pretty sure it would be “Girls just want to have fun” by Cyndi Lauper!

That’s funny!  Do you have any nicknames?

Not really, just Parris, although sometimes P.

Ok, let’s move onto the next topic.  We are going to discuss some of your favorites.  What is your favorite food?

I love injera (Ethiopian flat bread), anything Italian, and tacos.

Favorite color?

I have two: Black and purple

Favorite movie?

I have two again! Coming to America, and Stepbrothers

Favorite tooth?

What book could your read over and over again?

The Bible

Great answer.  Ok we’re almost done here.  What is the strangest food you’ve ever eaten?

I have to honestly say McDonald’s!

Wow! That’s interesting.   So what creeps you out?

Spiders and mold

Me too!  If you could have lunch with anyone living, who would it be?

Oprah for sure.

And final question: If you could have a year off with pay, what would you do?

Well, I’d love to travel to Ethiopia and Egypt to do some site seeing and check out the food.  I’d also love to study foreign languages.

There you have it folks!  Parris in a nut shell!  Next time you’re at the office, make sure you are wearing black and purple and bring some injera for her to nosh on!
